Butterfly

Silky butterfly visits the garden
Flapping wings of brilliant pattern
Flying by flowers, in a circular motion
Dancing moves, a sweet commotion

When she feels low for reasons unknown
In daily chores she plunges deep down!

A detour into the wilderness
Feet gripping the uneven ground
Mind afloat in the air around
Absorbed in surrounding wholeness

Setout on a long journey
With dreams so many
On an enchanting path
And the Mission mammoth!

Is a universal language
Of this modern age
Across young and vintage

Such a dear friend in my teens
I enjoyed being with you by any means
So many dissents and compromises
A true friendship; built up over years
